Factoring

As software is changed to make it more generic, an interesting side effect is that parts that were different before are now exactly alike. They should be merged into a single part to simplify the program, to make changes easier and to make even more generalization possible. A good object oriented system might actually get smaller even while doing more ( and doing it better ).
