I had ( wrongly assumed ) that this list would be at
"self-interest@self.smli.com". I hope this works now...

One of the things I was thinking after David Ungar's talk at
ECOOP about how different kinds of people make ( and use )
different kinds of systems was that there are very few women
in OS and language design.

I don't know anything about the subject, so it may be that
the "types of people" are independent of sex and my observation
is totally irrelevant ( I have just been told that this is, in fact,
true ).

Just a thought...
